News – Racing To The Runway

15/05/2018

Our resident hairdressers are perfecting up-do’s, Nailista are upping their nail art and our fashion houses are showcasing their favourite frocks as May means one thing to Chester – it’s time for race season. With our May fashion show a few weeks away, let us show you our favourite picks…

Perfect Pastels

If you’re not a dress lover and want to show your unique side this race season, we’re recommending perfect pastel suits from Topshop. In a gorgeous lilac (£79) or vibrant pink (£70), this two piece puts your fashion foot forward and keeps you top of the trends this Spring/Summer.

Fancy Florals

Let us put a myth to rest – a more mature outfit does not mean boring! The Dusky Floral Dress (£80) from Laura Ashley is made from pure cotton and has summer style all wrapped up in one. With a waist band to accentuate shape, and buttons at the back to give a classic look, the pick is perfect for sunny race days.

Invest in a wardrobe staple

What better time to invest in the perfect summer-ready piece that the races? This striped stretch-cotton seersucker suit (£575) from BOSS comes in a regular fit to give a classic silhouette and features a coastal-inspired vertical stripe for a fresh, clean look. We recommend layering over a dark shirt to keep a modern vibe.

Jumping in Jumpsuits

LK Bennett’s Loren Navy White Silk Jumpsuit (£350) will make you feel like the real winner this race season with 100% silk fabric. To dress up, we recommend pairing with killer heels, a vibrant clutch and gorgeous earrings or keep it cool with slip on sandals and some fabulous sunglasses.

Favourite fragrances

There’s nothing that pulls an outfit together better than a special fragrance for the day. For the ladies, we’re recommending BOSS Orange (£19.99) from The Perfume Shop – a captivating scent that opens with an uplifting burst of crispy apple and bergamot giving a delicately feminine first impression. Guys, try Paco Rabanne’s Invictus (£54.50) that spreads a sporty scent for champions with a blend of woody and fresh notes. We think the trophy-shaped bottle is more than appropriate too!
